Of mice and men and autumn lights

Mugsy - What a good boy!
He caught the second mouse yesterday. I rescued it and took it outside but I think it was on its last legs – so to speak – when I managed to get it caught in the mouse house.

Finished the binding on the quilt! Now I have one more to bind and Christmas presents for two people are done.

Autumn Lights festival
This morning we went to the Autumn Lights Festival. Got a good amount of exercise, saw some nice pottery pieces that I may indulge in later, crocheted and knitted items, the local High School band in their kilts and lots more. Dearest of course bought books from the Friends of the Library.

I was not too thrilled to see our local police force displaying guns and armor. Just didn’t think that it was appropriate for the occasion.

I thought it was disgusting. What an appalling example for the kids! -- law enforcement ain't about brains, squidlets, it's about being Rambo. I was shocked, to be honest.

You mean you couldn't tell if it was squeaking or croaking?

You place your thumb over one hole in the mug and suck up through the other hole. Needless to say I left it on the shelf. I didn't get a pic of the other potter but she had some beautiful serving dishes for sushi that I want, want, want.:)

And they were really charging that much for a mug???
Beautiful colors that you captured.

And speaking of capturing, what is a mouse house? Please don't tell me it is one of those sticky floored things where they starve to death *shudders*

And loved seeing the local author!

Hi K!

A mouse house is a container - usually coffee - and lid that I use. I get the mouse into the container - sometimes not easy - and then I take it outside and release. I usually mark the tops of these things "Mouse House"

Fun! I see Paul was loitering around the books. Surprising . . . ;)
