Ok, I am up, although later than usual and I am still tired. I have errands to do but think I won’t be long before I go back to bed and get some more sleep.
Do you remember the Monkey fabric I feel in love with ages ago? Well, guess what I found in the pile of scraps I got from friend Cheryl. LOL!
We both had a very long day at the hospital, getting home just a bit before McCain conceded the race. But we stayed up to watch Obabma’s speech before getting the much needed rest that both of us required.
While still at the hospital I noticed that I had dropped a stitch from the new pair of socks. ARGH! Now I can’t find my crochet hook and will probably spend hours tryng to find it today. Irritating!
Dearest is running around today in his Rolling Stones pajama bottoms. Aren’t they kinda ugly?

I also need to cut trim that Santa beard!
I really can’t tell you how happy I am to have the Democrats back in the White House. Obama has been saddled with an enormous task of cleaning up the mess that the Republicans/Bush have left us with. Bush will probably continue doing harm until he is out of the office, environmentally he is still trying to push opening the wild areas for oil. ARGH!
I am proud that the citizens of this country got involved and turned out in record numbers to vote.
The image of Jesse Jackson standing in the crowd last night tearing up as he watched a dream come true was an Kodak moment.
And just in case you missed it…here is Obama’s speech:

And here is another one of my favorite happenings last night:
At the White House, an Obama Party

The one sad NJ note of the night…Scott Garrett remains in the House of Representatives.
